Monthly Men's and Women’s Fellowships provide an opportunity to strengthen relationship in the body of Christ. The evening is spent sharing a meal and participating in a time of devotion.
Women's Retreats occur twice each year. Getting away and focusing on Bible study and prayer together continues to encourage the women of the Glen Allen Church.
Crump Manor Nursing Home is a facility very close in proximity to the Glen Allen Church. On the first Sunday afternoon of each month the church conducts worship for the residents. Our relationship with Crump Manor provides opportunities to serve and visit residents on a regular basis, and each year allows us the privilege of providing stocking stuffer items for them at Christmas.
Stitchers for a Cause
The Stitchers Group at Glen Allen Church enriches the lives of many people by making and gifting quilts and other useful handmade items on a regular basis. Crump Manor Nursing Home residents, orphans in Ukraine, the homeless, and various shelters have all been blessed by this great ministry. Be sure to check out the Stitchers Group’s blog. You can also read an article about the group in the Richmond Grandparenting Examiner.
FriendSpeak is a unique way to help people of different nationalities improve their conversational English skills. A large number of Glen Allen members participate in the program, and have become friends, helpers, and mentors to Richmond area residents from Russia, China, Brazil, Honduras, Ukraine, Mexico, San Salvador, and other nations.
Mission opportunities in Ukraine and France exist for interested members of the Glen Allen Church. Periodic visits to help with leadership training and campaigns, and to provide resources for orphans and the aged, have been made by numerous members.
